Blayne Fox

Blayne Fox

Illustrator

Blayne Fox has always been enchanted by the combined power of art and storytelling. Growing up in St. Louis, Missouri, she would write and draw picture books constantly, filling up one sketchbook per month of original characters and environments.

Predominantly self-taught, Blayne studied at Memphis College of Art in Tennessee, and was discovered by Baker and Hill Design Agency during a visiting lecture at the college. Shortly thereafter, Blayne was commissioned by the agency to illustrate for the Emmy nominated kids show “Weird But True” for National Geographic Kids. She has continued to develop her style through clients such as Discovery Channel, Yale University, and PBS. Success in media-based illustration has allowed her to begin focusing on her love for editorial illustration and children’s books. She continues to develop a sharp, vivid and euphoric style using Adobe Photoshop and a Wacom Cintiq, aiming to draw viewers back to her vision as a child–the vision that illustration and art become more powerful when enriched by a successfully told story. Blayne is currently represented by Deborah Wolfe LTD Illustration agency.
